Competition with Start-Ups Helps Validate Market
When you raise your head up out of your prototype and start-up sketches and realize that someone else is grinding on something similar to what you are, that’s a good thing. Most people think it’s a bad thing, but it’s not. What it really means is that someone else has the same problem that you have and they are trying to fix it. What’s even better is that if they have a few hundred early adopters that have been providing feedback to help shape their release version. Observe, put your head back down, get your product out there and get deals. Keep pushing your rock forward and talk about your product to anyone that will listen. Find people who care about what you are doing and want to help you however they can; help these people help you and they will become your champions.
